Our camps are set over 7 days, 14 days or 21 days depending on the package you choose. Typically you arrive on a Saturday and we have a quick meet and greet before you get some rest at the hotel. You then have 5 days of lessons with our coaches, the first 4 of which you learn some new skills and the fifth is a video day. You then head back home the following Saturday so that you have that last Sunday to recover be fore work or whatever you do in the real world!
Although Ninja Academy Snowboard improvement holidays are aimed for riders who can already make their turns it is possible for us to arrange beginner lessons for you. Often people may want some beginner lessons if they got to the package destination a week prior to booking.
Yes 100%. It is compulsory for all riders (including coaches) on all Ninja Academy camps to wear a helmet. As we all know the risk of injury when snowboarding is high due to the nature of the sport. We want to reduce the risk of head injury as much as possible.
Ninja Academy is a supporter of Kevin Pearce’s Love Your Brain foundation and wish to extend that message. “Think, Love your brain!”
If you require rental equipment please inform a member of the Ninja Academy Snowboarding team when you book a place on a package holiday. Ninja Academy will then arrange your rental equipment with the resort's rental shop. The following items are available for rent:
• Snowboards with Bindings
• Snowboard Boots

Yes you need winter sports insurance. Snowboarding is a high risk sport and your safety and enjoyment are our top priority. Although we strive to create the safest coaching environment accidents can happen. Therefore it is the responsibility of every rider who attends a Ninja Academy Camp to provide their own insurance.
Ninja Academy Limited take no responsibility for riders insurance cover and you will need to agree that you have insurance before participating in our camps.
If you intend to take part in a freestyle camp we recommend that your winter sports cover include terrain parks.
Absolutely, yes! Female riders are pushing this sport harder than ever and supporting that progress is something we are passionate about. Ninja Academy recognises that female riders often improve better when in an all female group.
Although we don’t have a female specific camp to book online you can contact us and we can help to arrange one for you. As we are a fairly small operation we will require that you have a group of at least 3 female riders in your party in order for us to book you in.
During your lessons we find seeing yourself riding helps you figure things out better and helps us provide tips. Professional athletes have had incredible improvements in their chosen sports due to video feedback and we want you to benefit from this too.
We aim to provide you with video feedback of you riding so that you can see yourself and apply your coach's advice. The Ninja Academy team will be filming you regularly whilst you are riding. Multiple times per week you will have an off snow sessions with your coaches to go through the video. Video is slowed down and often annotated using modern apps. Additionally your coach may use their smart phone to provide you with some quick video feedback on the snow.
